What's the Vibe

Wake up to the sound of waves meeting the shore, and the sun peeking slowly over the ocean.

Mornings are held in silence until after practice, allowing for a more grounded, present, and deeply connected start to the day.

Your days move in a natural rhythm: energizing morning yoga to awaken and challenge, followed by deeply grounding somatic practices in the evening to soften, release, and open new pathways within the body. In between, there is space: to rest on the beach, to swim in impossibly blue water, to receive bodywork, to wander, to pause.

We’ll offer thoughtfully guided excursions into the local culture and to explore the otherworldly ecology of the island. There will also be unstructured time for your own adventures - because some of the most meaningful moments happen when you follow your own curiosity.

This retreat holds a dynamic balance: movement and stillness, solitude and connection, play and depth. Expect heart-opening evenings gathered around the harmonium, shared meals, and moments that stay with you long after you leave.

Come as you are - whether you’re craving community or quiet, expansion or rest.
This is a space to reconnect with yourself, on your own terms.

ACCOMADATION

Where Are We Staying?

Our home for the week is a breathtaking beachfront villa on the island of Zakynthos, nestled along the Ionian Sea with uninterrupted ocean views and direct access to a private beach. Surrounded by olive groves and cypress trees, the property offers a rare sense of seclusion and calm - complete with two infinity pools, one cold plunge pool, expansive outdoor terraces, and soft spaces to gather, rest, and take in the landscape. A scenic 2 km walk along the shoreline leads you directly into the town of Zakynthos, offering the perfect balance between peaceful retreat and local exploration.

The villa, hosted by Nomadikas, is thoughtfully designed with multiple indoor and outdoor living areas, creating both openness and intimacy throughout the space. Each bedroom includes its own en-suite bathroom, allowing for privacy and ease, while shared spaces invite connection - whether over meals, music, or quiet moments together.

As you enter the private beach, you take a few steps in your water shoes beyond the stones to then enter soft sand under your feet and the far reaches of crystal blue water.

The retreat will be capped at 12 guests to preserve an intimate, spacious experience. Accommodations include a mix of private and shared rooms, with ocean or garden views and access to the surrounding gardens, pools, and sea.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Kelly Ashton Todd

Kelly Ashton Todd is a 500-hour RYT certified yoga teacher, movement artist, and storyteller with over twenty years of practice. She approaches yoga as a living, evolving dialogue between the body and mind - one that asks us to listen more closely, move more honestly, and reconnect with what feels true.

Her classes are fluid, dynamic, and exploratory, often weaving across the mat, into space, and toward the wall. Drawing from her background in dance and physical theater, she invites students to move beyond prescribed shapes and into a more intuitive, embodied experience.

Through the integration of harmonium and voice, Kelly creates an atmosphere that is both grounding and expansive - where sound, breath, and movement meet. Her teaching holds space for both challenge and softness, for play and depth.

Expect to laugh, to be surprised, to build strength, and to uncover new pathways within your body. Above all, her work is an invitation—to return to yourself.

What is the Ilan Lev Method™?

The Ilan Lev Method™ (ILM) is a somatic, movement-based approach that supports your body’s natural ability to heal, reorganize, and move with ease. ILM sessions combine gentle hands-on work with guided movement, attention, and awareness, helping release tension, improve posture and alignment, and regulate the nervous system.

Unlike traditional therapy, ILM focuses on how your body moves and organizes itself, addressing patterns that contribute to pain, stress, or discomfort. Each session is tailored to your needs, making it suitable for anyone, whether you are recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or simply seeking a deeper connection to your body.

Who Can Benefit

ILM sessions are ideal for:

  • Reducing pain and tension (neck, back, shoulders, hips, etc.)

  • Supporting injury recovery and rehabilitation

  • Regulating stress and calming the nervous system

  • Improving posture, mobility, and overall movement efficiency

  • Deepening awareness of your body and enhancing your relationship with movement

No prior experience in movement or therapy is required; ILM meets you where you are.

Stepping onto the property, you’re greeted with a drink in hand and the sea just beyond - an immediate exhale after your travels. There’s time to settle in, unpack slowly, and begin to take in your surroundings.

As the evening softens, we gather for a grounding circle - an opportunity to land, connect, wiggle out the travel body, and set intentions for the days ahead. A gentle threshold into the experience.

From there, we share our first meal together, prepared by our private chef, as the sun dips and the rhythm of the retreat begins.

Saturday, September 19th

  • Morning Vinyasa Yoga + Meditation with Kelly

  • Delicious Breakfast

  • Free time: rest, swim, enjoy the beach, explore town, or enjoy one-on-one bodywork with Sarah

  • Light snacks are available throughout the day, or the option to enjoy lunch in town

  • Ilan Lev somatic session with Sarah

Your first full day is an invitation to fully arrive. We begin gently, with a morning practice to awaken the body and shake off the travel, followed by a slow breakfast overlooking the sea. From there, the day opens. There is nowhere you need to be.

Spend the afternoon at the beach, letting the salt water and sun soften you back into your body. Drift between the pool, the ocean, and a shaded place to rest. If you’re feeling curious, take the coastal path into town and explore at your own pace.

This is a day for grounding - feet in the sand, breath deepening, nervous system unwinding. For those wanting deeper care, optional one-on-one Ilan Lev sessions offer a more personalized reset.

As evening settles in, we gather again - movement, a beautiful meal, and the soft, collective exhale of music under the night sky.

No rushing. No pressure. Just the beginning of coming back to yourself.

Sunday, September 20th

  • Breakfast prepared by our chef

  • Transportation to a private yacht excursion

  • Full day exploring the coastline and hidden beaches

  • Dinner prepared by our chef

  • Ilan Lev somatic session with Sarah

Today, we take to the water! After a delicious breakfast, we set out on a private yacht to explore the wild, untouched edges of Zakynthos. The coastline opens into a series of breathtaking landscapes - turquoise bays, limestone cliffs, and hidden caves only accessible by sea.

We’ll visit iconic sites like the Shipwreck Beach, Blue Piscinas, and the Blue Grotto, with time to jump in for a swim, float, and take it all in.

Later, we enter the protected waters of Laganas Bay, home to the endangered loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta). If we’re lucky, we’ll swim amongst them in their natural habitat - an experience that feels both humbling and unforgettable.

The day is candy for the spirit with sun on your skin and salt in your hair, the kind of freedom that only comes from being out on open water. Delicious snacks will be provided on the yacht.

By the time we return, there’s a soft tiredness in the body. After we gather for dinner, Sarah will guide you in a gentle Ilan Lev session that offers space to integrate and unwind.

It’s the kind of day that lingers with you - long after the retreat ends. (This is secretly the day I’m most looking forward to).

You might wander the coastline into town, explore at your own pace, or settle into a quiet corner with a book.

For those wanting deeper care, optional one-on-one Ilan Lev sessions with Sarah offer a more personalized, hands-on reset.

There is no agenda - only space. Space to rest, to follow your own rhythm, to listen to what your body is asking for.

Breakfast is shared together, lingering a little longer over coffee, conversation, and the quiet knowing that something meaningful has been experienced here.

And then, we say goodbye.

You leave with more than just memories - carrying new awareness in your body, deeper connection, and a sense of spaciousness that extends beyond the retreat itself.

*Things may shift slightly (this is Greece, after all), but everything is curated with care. If plans change, they’ll be replaced with something equally beautiful.*

Getting to Know You Form

Is this retreat feeling in alignment for you? If you feel ready to take the next step, Sarah and Kelly ask that you please fill out a ‘getting to know you form’. This is primarily for those who are interested but don’t know either Sarah or Kelly. Since it is such an intimate group, this helps us make sure the group is in alignment. There are no wrong answers.

FAQ

  • If you are coming to the villa from Athens, the best way to get there is to fly into Zakynthos or to take the bus & ferry.

From the airport or port, we will arrange shuttles that will take you directly to our property that will take around 20 minutes.

If you are arriving from a location other than Athens, reach out to us and we can workshop the best way to get you to the property.

Check in is anytime after 4 PM on Friday, September 18th, and checkout is at 10 AM on Wednesday September 23rd.

  • You can fly direct from NYC to Athens on an overnight (red-eye) flight. To arrive in time for check-in, plan to depart NYC by Thursday, September 17th at the latest.

From Athens, you’ll take a short domestic flight to Zakynthos (approximately 1 hour). There are multiple daily flight options, and you can either book this leg separately or as part of a single itinerary from NYC to Zakynthos.

If you have a couple of days to spare before the retreat, we recommend exploring Athens or other parts of Greece.

***Make sure that your passport is valid at minimum 6 months beyond the last day of the retreat***

  • For those who prefer to travel by land and sea, there is a scenic route from Athens to Zakynthos by bus and ferry.

You’ll take a coach bus from Athens to the port of Kyllini (approximately 3.5–4 hours), followed by a ferry crossing to Zakynthos (about 1–1.5 hours). The full journey typically takes 5–6 hours total.

This option is more budget-friendly and offers a beautiful way to experience more of the Greek landscape along the way.

    Bus & Ferry Booking

  • We’re happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences! Please email us ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. We’ll also be sending a pre-retreat questionnaire to gather this information and ensure you’re fully taken care of throughout the week.

  • Please reference our Refund and Cancellation policy here.

  • We require travel insurance - not as a formality, but because we want you to feel protected.

Life happens. Plans shift. Bodies get sick. And because our cancellation policy is firm, travel insurance is what ensures you’re not left carrying the cost if something unexpected comes up.

Some guests who had to cancel last minute due to illness or emergencies were able to recover the full cost of their retreat because they were covered.

We recommend using SquareMouth, a platform that lets you compare plans across reputable providers and find what works best for you. Take a moment to read the fine print and choose a level of coverage that feels right. Many guests opt for “Cancel For Any Reason” for added flexibility.

At minimum, your policy should cover the full cost of the retreat and your flights in case of unexpected events (illness, family emergency, etc.).
